Charlie Barra planted his first vineyard in Redwood Valley in 1955 and the Barra family has owned the Barra of Mendocino Tasting Room & Event Center since 1996, hosting over 50 events a year at this popular Mendocino County location.
Indoors
Our 5,000 square foot tasting room boasts 40 foot wood beam ceilings, and graciously accomodates up to 200 guests. The indoor fountain can even be converted to a stage that holds an altar, or a small live band or DJ. Outdoors
Surrounded by 50 acres of lush, organic vineyards, the grounds at Barra of Mendocino offer several different backdrops for your special day. With a large lawn and a hand-carved wedding arch, our perennial gardens are well suited for larger groups. Or, take your vows silhouetted against the sprawling vineyards on the south side of our tasting room.
Our garden area also houses 17 picnic tables tables and umbrellas, and our back patio area can be converted to an outside bar featuring a live-edge wood table. A DJ or small band can also be accomodated on our patio.
Can't decide which is the best option for your special day? Our flexible grounds allow for a combination of both indoor and outdoor events, depending on your needs. Or, if the weather decides not to cooperate for your outdoor wedding, you always have the option of a last minute move to our indoor tasting room venue.
